As the title says, I left Dallas at sunset and now I just arrived in Abu Dhabi at another sunset!!! I am now in my hotel room in Abu Dhabi! It was a long long flight from Dallas to Abu Dhabi! So long that my back hurts from sitting! I stood for long stretches in the back of the plane where all the food and drinks were -:)... the flight path was so far north that it was ridiculously long... from Dallas we headed north north-east, north of Toronto and Montreal, then Greenland then Island then Norway then Sweden then we finally headed south-east through Eastern Europe, Eastern Turkey, along the border between Irak and Iran and then finally the Persian Gulf!!!! Wow I said this was the longest path anyone can come up with... whatever happened to the straight line I ask??? Oh well, I am going to have to fly the same route but in the reverse direction in two weeks!!! Not looking forward to that...
Window seats for a long trip like this is another form of punishment! I knew that but by the time I went online to reserve my seats no isle seats were left so I was left with no choice but to take a window seat... procrastination has a price!!
