I had an extra half a day in Prague so I did take advantage of it… going around the same amazing spots for the last time for this trip that is.. I did have coffee and ice cream too before taking off for the airport destination Paris!!! Yes you read it right it is Paris again. Paris and Prague are in competition for most beautiful capitals of Europe so it makes sense that I go there and compare and give my final grade :) … Off course the real reason for me going to Paris is to visit my nephew and his family who live there for a while now.. Also from Paris I will take the high speed trains, TGV, to go elsewhere like the west, Nante, and east to Lyon and Geneva to visit other friends so Paris is a good center.
I took a taxi to the airport not to waste anytime figuring out there public transportation system … someone told me I was crazy to pay 40 euros for a taxi instead of 3 euros for public transportation… well my answer to that is « peace of mind is priceless » !! Missing a flight or having a canceled flight is my worst nightmare because then all hell breaks loose! Been there done that NOT FUN! Pay upfront and be at peace instead of asking « what if? »
Terminal 2 of Prague airport is a cute one, small but functional. The checking in was quick and easy, this time neither one of my bags was singled for hand checking so I was out of there very fast! Now I had two hours to kill so I started working on this page of the blog. Before long, it was our turn to board and boy was the plain full or what .. hardly any seat left empty in the plane!! However, after closing the plane doors, it was announced that were sévères thunderstorms in Paris and we needed the all clear to take off.. After 30 minutes, the all clear was given and we were off the ground and on the way to Paris. My nephew and his son were waiting for me at the airport. When we arrived home, my nephew’s wife prepared an awesome berber dinner.. what a feast !!!
