Since I initiated this blog few year back, I have mostly traveled alone or with a high school friend. Well this vacation is special since I am traveling with my daughter Louiza who at 23 decided to join me on this Pacific Northwest adventure. There is an additional motivation for her besides vacationing with dad, she wants to move to this part of the country once her school is over so!! No matter her motivation, I am thrilled to be traveling with her.. This one will be for the history books just like the 1994 Paris vacation with my dad was, but I hope more will follow but first I need to keep her happy, busy and motivated for the next 10 days!! Easier said than done...
Our first night will be spent at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver Washington!! So after landing at Portland international airport, we got our SUV from budget and we were off to Vancouver just across the Columbia river. We were hungry so we stopped for a late lunch/early dinner .. after dinner we headed to the lodge for a well deserved rest for the night ... Tomorrow is Seattle so we need some good rest ...
