Where do I start with this one ?? Just when you think you have prepared everything perfectly, lined up all the different steps meticulously, then something happens and then all hell breaks loose !! It did not get that far, i mean hell, but it got me wondering whether my effort was all for none and all the hotels and flights will have to be canceled and some with no refunds because i was so sure of myself… well all it took is a thunderstorm in Huntsville and a mechanical issue with a Delta plane and my first flight was out and so was the rest of the first day …. The good news in all of this is i went back home not to a hotel somewhere else. Before leaving to go home from Huntsville airport, i made sure i was rebooked on « better flights »!! Better yeah right, not really, because going through Newark airport is worse than going to hell and back!! I am not going to go into the details of this because I am steaming just writing about it… In the end I ended up taking Scandinavian airlines known as SAS directly to Stockholm which for me was the best scenario because i did not want missed connection somewhere !!!! The only bad thing is we were packed like sardines in this Airbus 330 with no room to breath … i did not sleep much and i did not move much either … i just sat there thinking about what I did wrong to deserve this punishment but hey given all the events of today, i am happy to be in Stockholm writing this introduction to my just started European adventure!!
Well, since i lost one night in Stockholm, i needed to make today worth while so as soon as i got to my hotel, which was not easy to find, i took a short nap then i was off exploring this amazingly beautiful city. First, Stockholm is beautiful, the weather was also awesome though cloudy but coolish which was great for walking ! I walked 20,000 steps on my first day, yeah !! I took small breaks for coffee and lunch but was exploring for the most part of today… Stockholm is safe, clean, great people and lovely cool weather..yeah!! Win, win and win to Stockholm…. However for budget conscious people get ready for a big hole in your pocket book so … you make your call, i made mine … i love it and will come back after winning the lottery 😂 !!!
