After much internal debate in my head, I decided to come back to Lisbon, for one there is a lot to see here and the other reason being the direct train line to Madrid from here. This time I took a hotel room in the middle of the busiest commercial and tourist central area… there are restaurants right below me and all around me so all I need is go downstairs and voila … I have food!!! This section of town has all the things a tourist needs including historic places, beautiful shops and restaurants all over… For food tonight, i literally struck out .. I made a terrible choice of restaurant and the food was not as good as advertised …In addition it was expensive so all in all a bad dinner experience tonight .. but i did not get sick so I m ok … tomorrow is another so i will make it up somehow ..
The train ride from Porto was uneventful so nothing to report on that ..everything was on time and i really loved my stay in Porto.. I had an ideal hotel in an ideal location so no complaint there.. Hotel staff everywhere I stayed have been superb… they go out of there way to help… getting a taxi or Uber or whatever the customer needs … It has been a truly an amazing experience so far…
