I read a lot about Grenada before coming here but all that reading was put to rest by being here and seeing the place in person! I say WOW to Grenada, what a lovely city full of ancient history and yet in the 21st century … Being a Berber native from Algeria, I was proud of the contribution of the berbers to Grenada… they left a lot of monuments and building structures to testify for them today … Islam was also present at every corner of Grenada through the converted churches that used to be mosques.
A good example of an Islamic architecture left intact in Grenada
What I love the most about visiting Europe and Spain in particular is the joy of living you see in people.. People here take their time to enjoy a long lunch break in outdoor setting… all cafes and restaurants are full of people taking their time to enjoy a meal together. The other thing I love about this place is you cannot tell the difference between noon and midnight in terms of how many people are out, it is busy all the time!!! Off course, stores are closed at midnight but restaurants and cafes are busing with activity. Here are some pictures from today…

Narrow alleys at night (perfectly safe)
