Day 9 Lisbon again

 As my time in Lisbon and Portugal is coming to a close, I have to say that both Lisbon and Porto have lots of things to offer to a demanding tourist… the river front of Porto was great but so is the main street in Lisbon leading up to the arch and into this vast plaza leading to the water front. So really both have lots to offer … in any case today is another lazy day but with a plan, I needed to finish my double decker bus ride, which I did !! The new city was beautiful, lots of green spaces and big modern buildings.. some of the structures were straight out of the future!! There were shopping centers and food courts and green spaces everywhere so … however my heart still leans to old part of town, the one built long before there were any Frendis on this earth.. in other words a gzillion years ago! I love old buildings they hide so much history and have witnessed so many events … the castles are fabulous… on the food front, i did have another paillela today it was great … lots of coffee breaks even an ice creme break for a change.. i burned lots of calories so why not … my step count is sky high !!!

The day ended as it started in my peaceful room… very nicely done every day and leave me theses amazing chocolates on my desk and two bottle of water … not bad i say …  

Day 8 Lisbon

 Well I have a great room in a great hotel in the middle of the busiest part is Lisbon so I really have nothing to complain about correct? Well I do, decision making on vacation is hard!! When you have a whole day to fill with activities then quickly you run out of things, and when you run out of things to do or so it seems, then you are walking aimlessly in this huge city!! In Alabama terms, if one adds all my steps since I left the good old USA, I should be somewhere in Mississippi and on my way to Dallas!! I am still in Lisbon, but I m heading to Madrid tomorrow to meet a high school friend ..  I booked a plane ticket to Madrid for tomorrow on the Omio App last night, but in the morning I received a message that the airline did not confirm it and I needed to take action immediately so I went back online and got a new more expensive ticket on Booking! So far they say I am going to Madrid but I will believe it when I get there.. I may end up in Tanzania for all I know!! Life is an adventure and traveling is part of it… so stay tuned !! If this blog goes dead for too many days you know I m lost somewhere!! 

Yesterday I went into the beer museum and boy it was fun so much so that I left the museum with my head spinning! IPA will do that to you! It was a really fun museum … I learned a lot about beer! After that I bought a day pass for those double decker busses that take you all over town mostly in a big circle !! I did that in Barcelona and it was fun … I did one circle and I left the other circle for today … It was a nice ride and took lots of pictures… I had a nice seafood paille-la la for dinner …

All in all a great day…
