Wow what a trip it has been so far !! Anything but boring, there was no time for that!! You already knew that the beginning of my trip was awful but that has quickly changed to the most awesome trip in a long time!! I say this because I was constantly moving forward, no time to get bored in one place… from Stockholm, to Oslo, to Tallinn, to Helsinki, to Warsaw, to Berlin, to Dresden and now…. To Prague!!! What a journey it has been!! This sounds like I am about to quit right? Not so fast, the best is yet to come, seriously!! I will recoup in Prague and chart my next course, who knows what that is?? I don't even know it yet myself!
Having said that, today started with a long walk to the train station of Dresden. When I got there, I found out I was taking a bus not a train from Dresden!!! How did I do that I said? It turns out, all the trip to Prague start that way, I just did not pay attention when I bought the ticket online !!! Duh… So I had to walk few more blocks to find the bus station!!! Ugh .. It was packed with backpackers like me, the only difference being they were one-third my age !!! Ugh .. though my bus was two hours way, one of the bus drivers asked me to board his bus and go so I did…. It was a scenic drive through southern germany … I was sitting next to a recent PhD grad from Leipzig Germany… he was going to a conference in Prague … we had a great conversation! After entering the Tchèque republic the bus stopped and we were asked to get off and go to the train!!!! That was a chaotic scene, but all was in order once on the train… the train ride was short, less than an hour to Prague!! Once on the ground, I headed straight to my hotel which was not far from the station! Great location, great hotel … I was happy!! After a short rest in the room, I headed out to explore Prague!!! I was blown away by the beauty of the surroundings !! The buildings were spectacular and the crowds of all ages roaming around this very wide boulevard… move over Dresden here comes Prague!!!
