Departure Day

Departure days are always nerve racking!! Packing and re-packing to make sure everything fits well within the bags to be used... I am someone who like to travel as compact as possible so space is at a premium. In addition, I had to make sure I bought all the emergency stuff that I needed in case of whatever comes my way... I am going to one of the most hostile environments on earth so no short cuts this time... Better be prepared! As I sit here waiting for my first flight to Dallas, I am dreading the long flight to Abu Dhabi and then Kathmandu... To make things worse, I will start trekking the day after arriving in Nepal so...At this point, it is too late to make any changes so I just need to keep all of these fatigue thoughts away from my mind and wait until the end when I will be really exhausted....
