Salvador Dalí was born in Cadaqués before becoming famous in Figueres so we paid a visit to this beautiful sleepy beach town of Cadaqués. The place was great and the drive there was scenic but stressful for the driver not me.. because of all the twists and turns of the road.... it reminded of the Atlas Mountains of Algeria in many ways... I guess I am heading there in couple of days so this is a good start for... with all the boats at Cadaqués you would the water is very polluted but guess what: it is not at all polluted. The water was so clear that you could see small fish, snails and crabs... I sat on a rock with my feet in the water and it felt great... my friend decided to take a dip but I did not feel like I just enjoyed the view, the breeze and the gentle waves... it was awesome... we saw Salvador Dalí’s house from outside but we did not think it was worth getting in... I felt seeing the museum was enough. Most people just sat around having espresso or water or whatever else the small store had... i think ice cream was popular.. Around 4:00 pm my friend and i went to this small fast food place and we ordered a plate of sardines... that was devine !!! I love sardines and miss them a lot on the other side of the Atlantic .... we returned to our hotel at around 7:00 pm and headed to dinner around 9:00 pm. After dinner we went for a short walk and the town was quieter than the night before...
