After Mt St Helens, Seattle and Mt Rainier it is time to see some Pacific beaches so Louiza picked up Canon beach on the Oregon coast to visit .. the pick was based on the unique and prominent landscape it has; nice rock formation on the beach itself. We got up early today had a very modest breakfast and left our mountain lodge in Lockwood WA headed west to I-5. The drive to Canon beach was estimated to last 3 hours + depending on traffic and weather. Getting to I-5 was not trivial as we had to zigzag our way through some very small roads. Once on I-5 the drive got easier somewhat. By 12:00 pm we arrived at Canon Beach under a slight drizzle... We found a parking space and headed to the famous beach.. First off it was very cool, 60 degrees give or take few degrees. Not a swimming weather for sure... the beach is vast and wide.. we walked in the direction of the big rock and once we got there we discovered smaller rocks filled with shell fish that were alive. We were told not to touch them, I could hear sounds of them moving against each other. After that we got a hotel room and took a quick break before a late afternoon lunch.
