I arrived in Paris last night at 9:00 PM coming from Prague the Tchèque republic!! Our arrival was delayed by thunderstorms in Paris. We stayed up late last night catching up with each other and talking about plans for the week ahead. We all went to sleep around 1 am, which is late for me! My nephew and his wife both work from home so when I woke up this morning they were in their office. However, my nephew’s wife took a break to make me fresh coffee and chat with me for a while before going back to work. It is a grey day in Paris with periods of rain, so I decided to relax at home unless the rain let up in the early afternoon then I want with my nephew’s son to Paris. He is only 9 but he really impressed me with his knowledge of the subway system of Paris which is very extensive!
We headed straight to “Charles Degaul Etoile” stop which is right next to the “arc de triomphe”… that is the heart of Paris!! We started walking on the “Champs Elyse”; a wide boulevard in Paris well known for its brand named stores and a beautifully landscaped side walks!! The boulevard was full of people everywhere! Our next destination was the Eiffel Tower! This time I wanted to take the elevator to the very top floor, to the delight of my nephew’s son!! There was a big crowd there so we had wait in line to buy the tickets. Once on top of the tower, the views were amazing!!
Without further due here are some from pics from today…
